Illuminati Hotties live in minneapolis
Punk/indie rock band, Illuminati Hotties put on an exciting show on Sunday in Minneapolis at the intimate 7th Street Entry. From the moment they took the stage with "will i get cancelled if i write a song called, "if you were a man you'd be so cancelled," the jammed-packed crowd went wild.
Illuminati Hotties were passionate and their Minneapolis fans enjoyed the show as they played their joyous tunes and punk anthems. They brought a great sense of fun that was infectious throughout the whole room.
Highlights of the night include the performance of "Pool Hopping," "MMMOOOAAAAAYAYA," and "u v v p," from the band's 2021 album, 'Let Me Do One More.' Other standouts were of course the band's most popular track, "(You're Better) Than Ever" and their latest release, "Sandwich Pleaser."
Opening for Illuminati Hotties was indie rock/grudge band, Pom Pom Squad and indie folk singer-songwriter, Fenne Lily. Both acts got the crowd warmed up for the special night ahead. Pom Pom Squad was crazy fun and lead singer, Mia Berrin's vocals were incredible. The band was crazy and punchy, in the best way.
Fenne Lily followed Pom Pom Squad and brought a much more mellow, but beautiful mood to the Entry. There were a few surprising moments when the band brought out the nasty wild riff, but slowed down. Singer-songwriter, Fenne Lily's vocals are dreamy and gentle, but still incredibly raw and personal.
Overall, the night was full of great music and energy and it was a night full of three incredible women-led bands and you can't help but love that. If anything, we need much more.
